Specific Objective #1: More sustainable practices applied and promoted by local businesses and sectoral associations in West Georgia
Specific Objective #2: More sustainable practices applied by smallholders and farmers in West Georgia
Specific Objective #3: Strengthened engagement for sustainability from students, consumers, and active professionals in the west Georgian population
Outcomes:
• Local businesses and sectoral associations have applied “green” standards in the production process and environmentally friendly innovative business operations are introduced in the west Georgia;
• Multi-hazard early warning system is introduced and green approaches are supported in agricultural production.
• Innovative educational resources are created on green principles in formal and non-formal education. Vocational education sector is strengthened with new programs to support greening of local businesses.
Quantified data (outputs):
• The business clusters functioning in the in the target regions have been capacitated and strengthened to introduce green practices for their member businesses;
• Two wine testing LABs are established in Guria and Adjara to support greening of wine (grape) producing companies;
• Greening transition strategic document (including action plan) was developed for Samegrelo Tourism Cluster.
• Local SME is capacitated to promote sustainable green development in the target regions -50 SME
• Financial Support is made to at least 12 SME to support greening of their businesses.
• Multi-Hazard Early Warning Systems (MHEWS) is established and 10 stations are placed on the target area
• Rural Development Agency, extension service providers, other business associations, and local farmers are strengthened in green approaches to agricultural production-approximately 1000 farmers, 6 business associations and RDA and Adjara AR Extension service providers – 30 in total;
• Educational resources are digitalized and promoted
• Green Agricultural Olympiad for the school-age youth is conducted and involves 600 school students;
• Three Work-based learning programs are introduced in VET in the target region colleges
